Installing Required Utilities

For a smooth gameplay experience, we recommend installing the necessary utility tools. If the game fails to launch or crashes, go to the CrashFix section.

🛠️ CrashFix - What to do if the game crashes, won’t start, or closes

If the game unexpectedly crashes, doesn’t open, or closes without an error message, it’s most often caused by antivirus software (Windows Defender or third-party programs) or missing system libraries.

🔒 1. Add the game to Windows Defender exclusions

Path: Windows Security → Virus & threat protection → Manage settings → Exclusions → Add or remove exclusions → Folder

Select the installed game folder, for example:

C:/MuMuEurope/Client

⚙️ 2. Add main.exe to DEP exclusions

DEP = Data Execution Prevention

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Go to System → Advanced system settings.
3. Under Performance, click Settings.
4. Open the DEP / Data Execution Prevention tab.
5. Select: Turn on DEP for all programs and services except those I select.
6. Click Add and choose the path to main.exe.
7. Click Apply and OK, then restart your PC.

🧰 3. Run the game as Administrator

Right-click on main.exe or the launcher → Run as administrator. Do this every time before starting the game.

🛡️ 4. If you use third-party antivirus software

In its settings, find the Exclusions / Trusted folders / Ignored paths section and add the game folder there.

📦 5. Update Visual C++ Redistributable

The game may crash if the latest Visual C++ package is not installed.

• The game will run more stably.
• Crashes and antivirus-related blocks will be eliminated.
• If the issue persists - contact the developers, include the time, what you were doing, and attach a screenshot or description.
