Chaos Castle is a survival quest. Unlike other MU Online quests, here you need to last as long as possible and eliminate all participants (both monsters and players).

How to Enter Chaos Castle

To enter Chaos Castle, you need an Armor of Guardsman.

  • Armor of Guardsman can drop from monsters in all locations.
  • You can check the time until the next entry by right-clicking the Armor of Guardsman, just like the Invisibility Cloak for Blood Castle.
  • To enter, click “Ok” in the pop-up window when the timer allows entry.
  • Murderers cannot enter Chaos Castle.
  • Your character will be moved to the castle appropriate for their level, and a certain amount of Zen will be deducted.

Introduction

  • The total number of participants in Chaos Castle is 100. They are split into:
    • Maximum number of players = 70
    • Minimum number of monsters = 30
  • If there are fewer than 70 players, the remaining slots are filled with monsters.
  • The castle starts if there is at least 1 player (on a given level).
  • Upon entering Chaos Castle, your appearance will change to that of a Guardsman.
  • Only appearance changes; your character’s stats remain the same.
  • Characters will have a sword, staff, or crossbow to distinguish their class.
  • Pets and summons are not available in Chaos Castle.

Core Rules

  • All characters in Chaos Castle are treated as enemies, so there’s no need to use the Ctrl key for PvP.
  • Players cannot attack each other during the waiting period.
  • Parties cannot be created in Chaos Castle.
  • Your personal store will be closed automatically, and you cannot be challenged to a duel or declare guild war.
  • Chatting is allowed only during the waiting time; it is disabled as soon as the event begins.
  • Buffs can only be applied to yourself; you cannot buff other players.
  • Player damage is reduced by 50% while inside Chaos Castle.
  • Your own character will be distinguishable from others (your armor shines).
  • Event points: 2 points for killing a monster and 1 point for killing a player.
  • If, after all monsters are killed, two players remain, the winner is chosen by points.
  • The map will shrink due to floor collapse around the castle perimeter as the number of remaining participants decreases (including monsters).
    • Level 1 (Remaining participants: 40)
    • Level 2 (Remaining participants: 30)
    • Level 3 (Remaining participants: 20)
  • If a player is killed, they will respawn in Devias.

Monsters

  • Monsters look the same as players.
  • The number of monsters changes depending on the number of participants in Chaos Castle (Minimum 30, Maximum 98).
  • Some monsters explode upon death; the explosion deals damage and knocks characters back.

Ways a Character Can Die

  • They can be killed by a monster or another player.
  • They can fall off the edge of the castle roof.
  • They can get caught in a trap.

Quest Completion

  • The quest ends when all other players are dead.
  • When all monsters are killed and only one player remains before closure.
  • If more than two players remain at the end, ranking is determined by the number of points.

Traps

  • The number of traps decreases when the total number of participants (players and monsters) drops below 50.
  • Traps deal the same damage regardless of a character’s defense.
  • Traps instantly kill a character regardless of their level and defense.
